The start of this Race was delayed due to Jockey Marcus the rider of WHITE RIVER being dislodged and injured in the parade ring and a replacement rider having to be weighed out. MARDI GRAS and KAZAAR were slow into stride. TAP O'NOTH lost one length. DO IT AGAIN lost two lengths. DO IT AGAIN and SNIPER SHOT were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. MARDI GRAS over-raced in the early and middle stages. In view of the performance of PREMIER SHOW the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Vet : PREMIER SHOW - nothing obvious detected. Scratched: ROY HAD ENOUGH (AUS) - cast in box. OH SUSANNA (AUS) - bruised right fore heel.
