THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KEEP SMILING (*L J Ferraris) was slow losing two lengths and thereafter slow into stride. b) Shortly after the start, DANCE CLASS (C Habib) was bumped out by INVISIBLE (L Hewitson) which jumped out sharply. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 1600m, INVISIBLE (L Hewitson) commenced to over-race, improved suddenly and clipped the heels of SHIVERS (P Strydom). b) Jockey P Strydom reported that SHIVERS did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey M Yeni reported that he felt something amiss with MASTER KEYS in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. d) SARAGON (A Domeyer), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
