GENTLEMAN'S WAY was difficult and stubborn to load and lost one length. VAR'S BOY was restless in the stalls, removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was reloaded. Lost one length. JACK OF ALL TRADES was slow into stride. PERPETUAL FLAME lost two lengths. WASHINGTON SQUARE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Nel advised. Jockey G Wrogemann the rider of SCORCH reported that this colt was making an abnormal respiratory noise post race. Apprentice De Gouveia the rider of GENTLEMAN'S WAY reported this colt took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine SCORCH and GENTLEMAN'S WAY. PERPETUAL FLAME raced green. In view of the Starter's Report concerning GENTLEMAN'S WAY the starting stall certificate for this colt has been withdrawn and he is suspended for a period of 7 days and until he proves tractable to jump on terms with a companion on a race day. (16.5.2018 - 22.05.2018). GENTLEMAN'S WAY may not be presented for repassing during this period. In view of the Starter's Report concerning VAR'S BOY the starting stall certificate for this colt has been withdrawn and he is suspended for a period of 7 days and until he proves tractable to jump on terms with a companion on a race day. (16.5.2018 - 22.05.2018). VAR'S BOY may not be presented for repassing during this period. RAGNAR raced without a tongue tie. The ownership of ELUSIVE MASTER should read: Messrs M Clarke, G S Knowles, K P Naidoo & Pops Sooben and the colour remain the same. Vet: SCORCH - abnormal respiratory noise. GENTLEMAN'S WAY - nothing obvious detected. RED HOT NIGHT - coughing.
