PIAGET PRINCE, ROY'S ROLL'S ROYCE (AUS), DOM SEGUIDOR and SPICE ROADS lost one length. FRANCO refused to load and was withdrawn. FANTASY ART (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. DOM SEGUIDOR over-raced in the early and middle stages. SOVEREIGN SOLDIER was hanging in over the final 400 metres. Jockey van Niekerk the rider of SON OF SILVER reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding in running and as a result eased him out of the race approaching the 50 metre mark. Jockey van Niekerk the rider of SON OF SILVER appeared before the Board with regard to his riding in this race. He explained that he felt something amiss with this gelding in the running and after persevering from the top of the straight, and having concerns, he eased his mount out of the Race at approximately the 75 metre mark. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine SON OF SILVER. In view of the performances of PIAGET PRINCE and MIGHTY MISSISSIPPI the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. In view of the Starter's Report concerning FRANCO the starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn and he is suspended for a period of 7 days and until he proves tractable to jump on terms with a companion. (23.05.2018 - 29.05.2018). FRANCO may not be presented for repassing during this period. Vet: PIAGET PRINCE, MIGHTY MISSISSPPI and SON OF SILVER - nothing obvious detected. SECRET SUCCESS - coughing. Scratched: ETERNAL ICE - insufficient recovery time. FRANCO - refused to load.
