Due to the persistent wet conditions, jockeys were allotted an additional 0.5kg at the scale. The start of this race was delayed due to TARIQUE being stubborn loading. Light rain fell during the running of this race. BUZZARDS BAY was slow away and lost 1 length. SLEEK GOLD was slow into stride and lost 1 length. HURRICANE SASHA was slow away and lost 2 lengths. THE LANDLORD was stubborn loading. TARIQUE was stubborn loading. Trainer Strydom was advised to re-school this colt prior to its next engagement. SUPREME WINTER was hanging in from the 300 metre mark. In view of the performance of THE LANDLORD and DRAXTER, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
