THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LEANNA (S Veale) lost 3 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) DUCHESSOFCORNWALL (N Patel) over-raced in the early and middle stages, raced clear of the field and thereafter compounded in the concluding stages. b) DUCHESSOFCORNWALL (N Patel) cast the left front shoe at the 1000m. c) The Board reviewed this race with regard to DUCHESSOFCORNWALL (N Patel) and FREEDOM'S FIRE (W Kennedy) gaining a significant lead over the balance of the field in the middle stages of this race. The Board was satisfied that all riders made a timeous effort to encourage their mounts to be competitive, and further noted that none of the other runners made up ground on FREEDOM'S FIRE (W Kennedy) in the straight. d) Jockey S Moodley reported that SHADOW MAGIC (18.65 lengths) did not stride out freely in the running.
