CRYMEARIVER was slow into stride. SONG OF MITU lost one length. CONNECT ME was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Rich was questioned with regard to the improved performance of CONNECT ME compared to this filly's previous two performances. He explained that this filly was better suited to racing over shorter distances than her previous recent races. Mr Rich has undertaken to race CONNECT ME over shorter distances in her future engagements. The Board noted his explanation and the future performances of this filly will be monitored. MAJESTIC MARY and CRYMEARIVER were bumped and unbalanced shortly after the start. Jockey Fayd'Herbe the rider of SHEIK'S STORM reported that he felt something amiss with this filly in running and as a result did not persevere with his mount in the latter stages. Jockey Godden the rider of MISSIBABA reported that he felt something amiss with this filly in running. Apprentice Moodley the rider of DEEP DOWN REBEL reported this mare took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine SHEIK'S STORM, MISSIBABA and DEEP DOWN REBEL. Vet: SHEIK'S STORM, MISSIBABA and DEEP DOWN REBEL - nothing obvious detected. CRYMEARIVER : Coughing. Scratched: GOTOLUVHER - lame right hind. LOVELY LUCCA - lame right fore.
