ROMANO was nervous in the stalls. FORT VIVA, ARTIFICIO, TIGER WARRIOR and DATA LINK were slow into stride. GRANDISSIMO was slow away and lost 2 lengths. QUID RIDES refused to gallop. In view of the Starter's report regarding QUID RIDES, this gelding has been suspended for a period of 30 days and thereafter must be recertified tractable to jump on terms and gallop. In the closing stages, GRANDISSIMO and ROKATENDA came together and bumped. A member of the Stipendiary Board called a race review which was followed by an objection being lodged by Trainer Smith, rider of ROKATENDA, joint winner against GRANDISSIMO on the grounds of interference in the closing stages. The Objection Board, after giving regard to the evidence put forward by the connections and reviewing the patrol film of the incident was of the opinion that ROKATENDA would not have finished ahead of GRANDISSIMO and therefore over-ruled the objection and allowed the judges results to stand. ROKATENDA and GRANDISSIMO were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: DATA LINK - in season. KING'S KING - coughed post race.
