THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WHAT A SARAH (C Storey) and ROCKET FIRE (*J Mphanya) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, ELEGANT GENERAL (M Yeni) and BURNT ROCK (*M Zuma) came together and bumped. b) Approaching the 800m, ROCKET FIRE (*J Mphanya) was switched out off the heels of BURNT ROCK (*M Zuma) which shifted in and made contact with the inside running rail. c) The Board will investigate Jockey W Agrella (LESLIES PATHTOFAME) being reported returning to scale more than 1kg over the weight at which he was declared out. d) Trainer Y Govender signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 39.3 in that he failed to vaccinate SENOR DON against African Horse Sickness in accordance with the programme of vaccination as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Accordingly, a fine of R1000 was imposed. e) DURAN (*T Gumede), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G I Rich advised (SC).
