The start of this Race was delayed due to the farrier having to repair the left fore shoe on BEQUIA at the start. PALACE ROSE and SAIL INTO THE SUN were slow into stride. SOUTHERN DYNASTY and STAR SYSTEM lost two lengths. BEQUIA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. PALACE ROSE over-raced without cover in the early and middle stages and thereafter was hanging out over the final 400 metres. In view of the performances of IMPERIAL ROYAL and SOUTHERN DYNASTY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies. Vet: IMPERIAL ROYAL and SOUTHERN DYNASTY - nothing obvious detected. MAJESTICA - speedy cut right fore. STAR SYSTEM - abnormal respiratory noise.
