GIMME KATRINA was slow losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. Between the 850m and 750m EVIE'S LIGHT and BLUE FLOWER became cramped for galloping room for a number of strides in a tightly bunched field. Jockey Cele, rider of EMPIRE RISING appeared before the Board and was advised to ensure that he gives sufficient galloping room to runners on his inside in future. In view of the performance from GIMME KATRINA, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly on her return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. SECRETARIAT'S GIRL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: WINE FESTIVAL - returned making and abnormal respiratory noise. GIMME KATRINA - examined post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected.
