SILENT DREAM lost 1 length. LAST SUMMER was slow into stride. PINA COLADA was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey Veale, the rider of SUCH A RUSH, Apprentice E Ngwane the rider of SILENT DREAM and Apprentice Sakayi the rider of LAST SUMMER reported their respective mounts took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. In view of the performance of I'M A VAR the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. SILENT DREAM raced fitted with alumites both fore and unshod behind. LAST SUMMER raced fitted with cheek-pieces. Vet: SUCH A RUSH, I'M A VAR, SILENT DREAM and LAST SUMMER - nothing obvious detected. Whilst proving troublesome loading, the bridle on AEGEAN AIRE broke which resulted in this gelding getting loose. AEGEAN AIRE was taken in hand and the bridle replaced. Thereafter AEGEAN AIRE broke loose again and was scratched as intractable.
