VOICE OF LIGHT was slow into stride and lost 2 lengths. TUNDRA was nervous in the stalls, jumped awkwardly outwards, slow away and lost 1 length. In the closing stages, VOICES OF LIGHT had to ease when bumped in by TUNDRA which shifted in away from the crop. Thereafter, VOICES OF LIGHT was carried in by TUNDRA on at least two separate occasions when racing in tight quarters. A race review was called into this incident which was followed by an objection being lodged by a member of the Stipendiary Board on behalf of the 4th placed horse, VOICES OF LIGHT, against the 2nd placed horse, TUNDRA, on the grounds of interference in the closing stages. After reviewing the patrol films of the race and hearing the evidence from all parties concerned, the Board was of the view that VOICES OF LIGHT would have finished ahead of TUNDRA but for the above interference. Consequently, the Board upheld the objection and amended the judge's result accordingly. Jockey Yeni appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol films of the race and advised to take more care when shifting ground in future. In view of the performance of CATCHTHEMASTER, Trainer Laing was requested to report back on the condition of this colt on return to the stables. EL CHEEPO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. TUNDRA raced equipped with a tongue tie. Vet: WILD ROCK - cut into pastern.
