Shortly before the start was affected, PROFIT RATIO broke open the front gate and dislodged jockey Thackeray. A false start was called by the Starter. All the riders took their mounts under control, returned to the start, were inspected by the Course Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race with the exception of GREAT SHAKA who was unable to be pulled up by apprentice Ferraris and PROFIT RATIO; they were scratched by the Course Veterinary Surgeon for bolting. This caused a delay to the start of the race. Shortly before the start was effected, PROFIT RATIO in stall gate 11 became restless, threw its head down, broke open the front gates, dislodged Jockey Thackeray and bolted. A false start was called by the Starter. The Starting Stall Certificate for this gelding was withdrawn. DORMAN stumbled shortly after the start. DONNY G fly-jumped leaving the stalls. In view of the Starter's report with regard to PROFIT RATIO, this gelding was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading with a companion. Suspension dates: 2 July 2018 - 8 July 2018. PROFIT RATIO may not be presented for repassing during this period. In view of the performance of PREMIER SHOW, the Veterinary Surgeon requested to examine this gelding. AFRICAN RULER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. New Ownership of SILVER COIN should read: Mr G Goksel & Miss Trinisha Pillay (colours: black, purple crossed sashes, black sleeves, purple cap) sold with engagements. Vet: PREMIER SHOW - not striding out left front and blowing heavily post race. Scratched: CONCEALED SECRET - colic. GREAT SHAKA and PROFIT RATIO - bolted the course - immediate reinstatement.
