ROYAL SENSATION arrived at the start late causing a delay. KISS ME NOW stood, refused to jump. SPECTRA FORCE and RED EIGHT were restless in the stalls. MOON ROCK jumped awkwardly outwards and made contact with RED RASCAL. ROYAL SENSATION was reluctant to parade and proceed to the start and had to be led, causing a delay. The start of this race was reviewed regarding KISS ME NOW in stall gate 5, and the Board was satisfied that the gelding was not impeded and had refused to jump. In view of this report, and the report from the Starter regarding KISS ME NOW, Trainer Kotzen was advised that the gelding's starting stall certificate was withdrawn and will be required to be presented, on two occasions, on a race day with company to be passed tractable. ROYAL SENSATION did not act in the soft underfoot conditions and Jockey Cele did not persevere with his riding and eased the filly out of the race from about the 400m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the filly on her return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. RED EIGHT over-raced in the early and middle stages. GRAND SILVANO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Ownership of KISS ME NOW should read: Chrigor Stud (Pty) Ltd. (Nom: Mrs S Hattingh). Colours: Yellow and royal blue checked diamonds, red sleeves, and cap, royal blue diamond. RED RASCAL raced fitted with ear muffs. Vet: ROYAL SENSATION - examined post race and no obvious abnormalities were detected.
