BALLYMAINE lost one length. TOMMY GRAND fly-jumped leaving the stalls and lost one length. BLACK CASHMERE lost two lengths. WARFARER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Forbes was questioned with regard to the improved performance of WARFARER compared to this gelding's previous performance. Mrs Forbes explained that the previous run on the 02nd June 2018 was after a long lay-off, and in that race, WARFARER over-raced and as a result compounded badly in the latter stages. She removed the cheek pieces and this, in her opinion, had further accounted for the improvement shown. Mrs Forbes undertook to race WARFARER similarly equipped in his future engagements. The Board noted her explanation and will monitor the future performances of WARFARER. TOMMY GRAND over-raced in the early and middle stages. RIO DE LA PLATA was momentarily baulked near the 300 metre mark. GONE BABY GONE shifted in approaching the 200 metre mark resulting in VERDIER being cramped. Thereafter GONE BABY GONE shifted out between the 200 and the 100 metre marks. Jockey Veale the rider of WEALTHY reported this gelding took no interest in running. In view of the performances of TECHNO CAPTAIN and TOMMY GRAND the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings. Jockey Dillon failed to weigh out at the carded weight for the horse TOMMY GRAND, as confirmed in his engagement, resulting in a change of rider. WARFARER and MALINGA - raced with a tongue tie. TECHNO CAPTAIN raced with ear muffs. BLACK CASHMERE raced with alumites in front, unshod behind. Vet: WEALTHY and TOMMY GRAND - nothing obvious detected. TECHNO CAPTAIN - not striding out right fore. BALLYMAINE - cut into left hind.
