SAMMI MOOSA pulled its left front shoe en route to the start, which was attended to by the Course Farrier. This caused a delay to the start of this race. SAMMI MOOSA jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. SIM-ALLEY BANK lost 3 lengths. Trainer Verdonese was advised to re-school this mare prior to its next engagement. IT IS NOT OVER and MOVIE AWARD lost 1 length. Jockey de Melo reported that he felt something amiss with MONARCH AIR in running. After being slow away Jockey Danielson reported that SIM-ALLEY BANK refused to gallop. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. IT IS NOT OVER was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Gray was questioned regarding the improved performance of IT IS NOT OVER. He could offer the Board no suitable explanation. His attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to In and Out Running. SIM-ALLEY BANK raced without cheek pieces.
