READY STEADY GO reared in the stalls and got his right front leg over the partition, was removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn causing a delay. In view of the above report from the Starter concerning READY STEADY GO, Trainer Crawford will be advised that this gelding's starting stall certificate was withdrawn. VICTORIOUS CAPTAIN faltered badly approaching the 700m and was immediately eased out of the race. WHAT A WINNER and METORITE which were following, were forced to check and switch outwards sharply to avoid the injured horse. POWER GRID was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: READY STEADY GO - withdrawn at the start. Injured in stalls. METORITE - returned lame on the right fore. VICTORIOUS CAPTAIN fractured right fore. Euthanized.
