THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WATCH YOUR MOUTH (C Bantam) was slow losing one length. b) PRINCE ALF (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, MAGIC DUKE (*J Gates), GIANT SLAYER (L Hewitson) and GILDED HEART (*J R Syster) were carried inwards by PRINCE ALF (G Lerena) which jumped in. b) CALL ME MASTER (*L J Ferraris) hung in from the 300m. c) Jockey C Maujean reported he felt something amiss with DA ORANGE HORSE in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. d) Jockey G Lerena reported he felt something amiss with PRINCE ALF in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) Apprentice J R Syster reported GILDED HEART made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) CALL ME MASTER (*L J Ferraris), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G M Alexander advised (LN).
