The start of this Race was delayed at the request of the Racing Operator. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FIREONTHETRACK (A Marcus), RAISEAHALLELUJAH (W Kennedy), GOLDEN DUCK (K de Melo) and ROCK WITH ME (A Mgudlwa) were restless in the stalls. b) GREEN PHANTOM (L Hewitson) lost 3 lengths and thereafter, was slow into stride. Trainer M Miller was advised to re-school this gelding. c) GOLDEN DUCK (K de Melo) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) A TIME TO REMEMBER (D Schwarz) over-raced in the early stages. b) At the 1500m, ANIMUS (J Samuel) had to ease when awkwardly placed on the inside of DIRTY RASCAL (B Jacobson) which was difficult to settle in the early and middle stages. Thereafter, at the 600m, the majority of the field had to race around DIRTY RASCAL (B Jacobson) which, after its early exertions, tired when racing 3 horses back on the inside running rail, and compounded in the straight. c) FIREONTHETRACK (A Marcus) shifted both ways away from the crop from the 400m. d) CRUSADE'S STAR (*J Gates) was hanging out from the 250m. e) Jockey C Storey reported that GLOUCESTERSHIRE (17.45 lengths) did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) FIREONTHETRACK (A Marcus), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer R Hill advised (SC). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) JACOB'S LADDER raced with a tongue tie (advised 08.11.20/06h55). b) GLOUCESTERSHIRE was ridden by Jockey C Storey. Reserve runner (advised 07.11.20/7h24). c) MOUNTAIN OF GOLD was ridden by Jockey S Randolph. Reserve runner (advised 07.11.20/10h00). d) JACOB'S LADDER Apprentice K Strydom claimed 3.5kg of his 4kg apprentice allowance and weighed out at 53.9kg. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) GLOUCESTERSHIRE : Coughing. b) RAISEAHALLELUJAH : Returned post race having cast the left fore shoe.
