The start of this race was delayed due to the late scratching of front page news, which was very restless in the stalls. FRONT PAGE NEWS was restless in the stalls and injured itself. The starting stalls certificate for this colt was withdrawn. SAMURAI WARRIOR was stubborn loading. Trainer Marwing was advised to re-school this colt prior to its next engagement. STARLIGHT WARRIOR lost 3 lengths. MIGHTY GEMINI lost 1 length. In view of the Starter's report with regard to FRONT PAGE NEWS, this colt was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable in the starting stalls. Suspension dates: 22 July 2018 to 28 July 2018. FRONT PAGE NEWS may not be presented for repassing during this period. Workrider Mosia used his crop with excessive frequency whilst riding the horse SAMURAI WARRIOR. He was suspended from riding in one (1) workriders' race (date of suspension: 2 August 2018). Workrider Gwingwizha reported that AQUILA WARRIOR changed strides continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. MAKE YOUR MOVE commenced to over-race in the early and middle stages. SAMURAI WARRIOR shifted out away from the crop from the 350m. PACHACUTI shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. SHANGHAI PIERCE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. UNPLAYABLE: Raced in Club colours (black, blue cap). Vet: AQUILA WARRIOR - not striding out right front.
