SUPREME WINTER was slow away and lost 2 lengths. AFRICAN VICTORY and ADRIANO'S TRIUMPH were stubborn loading. In view of the performance of AFRICAN VICTORY the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine and nothing obvious was detected. Trainer Laing was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of this gelding on his return to the stables. Jockey Yeni reported that he felt something amiss with SUPREME WINTER in the running. COUNTING STARS and ICARUS FLIGHT were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SUPREME WINTER raced equipped with a tongue tie. Vet: AFRICAN VICTORY - nothing obvious detected. SUPREME WINTER - not striding out left fore.
