THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) AL HAAMY (AUS) (+C Mabaya) was slow losing two lengths.
b) STAR EFFECT (+T Ncume) was restless in the stalls.
c) PIN DROP (+P Mongqawa) reared in the stalls.
d) QUARARI'S VALENTYN (+L Haruzivi) jumped inwards sharply leaving the stalls.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) Shortly after the start, GALAPAGOS HOTSPOT (+G Mutamba) and CRACKON (+G Dadamasi) were squeezed between PIN DROP (+P Mongqawa) which jumped out and QUARARI'S VALENTYN (+L Haruzivi) which jumped in.
b) Workrider C Mabaya reported that AL HAAMY (AUS) choked up in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
c) Workrider T Baase reported that SIGNALS changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
d) TIGHT FIVE (+J Gwingwizha) shifted out away from the crop from the 400m.
e) Workrider T Matsoele was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he struck the horse FORT COMMANDER more than twelve times in the entire race. Workrider Matsoele signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in One Workrider race.

f) TIGHT FIVE (+J Gwingwizha), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer T Nako advised (LN).
