TRUST IN GOLD, LETS PLAY BALL , KRISHNIES JET and MASTAGAMBIT were all slow into stride. GETAWAY CAR was restless in the stalls. Lost 1 length. MASTAGAMBIT was restless in the stalls. LET'S PLAY BALL selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Approaching the 800 metre mark MASTAGAMBIT shifted in carrying FLYING GEORGE inwards. This resulted in FLYING GEORGE having to be inconvenienced off the heels of MASTAGAMBIT and KRISHNIES JET having to ease losing position. An Inquiry will be held into this incident. SILVA'S FLING racing green and was hanging in in the latter stages. Jockey Dillon the rider of DE LAGO'S FUTURE reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding in running. Jockey Wright the rider of SEVE and Apprentice Moodley the rider of GETAWAYCAR reported their respective mounts not striding out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. Apprentice Ramzan the rider of FIVES WILD had a satisfactory qualifying ride. SEVE raced fitted with steels. Vet: DE LAGO'S FUTURE - coughing. SEVE - not striding out right fore. GETAWAYCAR - nothing obvious detected.
