The start of this race was delayed due to SEATTLE EMPRESS proving stubborn and difficult to load. SEATTLE EMPRESS was stubborn loading and nervous in the stalls. MALINDA was stubborn loading. PIAZZA DEL CAMPO, NEVERLETUGO and SHEPARD'S DELIGHT were slow away and lost 1 length respectively. As per starters report on SEATTLE EMPRESS Assistant Trainer Turner was advised to re-school this filly in the starting stalls prior to the next engagement. Jockey Ndlovu reported that he felt something amiss with ITA in the running and did not persevere with his ride over the final 400m. SHEPARD'S DELIGHT raced green. SHEPHARD'S DELIGHT was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. LATERAL'S FLASH raced without a tongue tie. Vet: ITA - not striding out right fore. PIAZZA DEL CAMPO - coughed post-race. Scratched: REBEL WISON - bruised sole.
