ROAD TO INDY was nervous and fly jumped leaving the stalls. KIMBERLEY CLUB (AUS) was nervous, kicked the back gate in the stalls and was slow into stride. OMAHA TRIBE was slow away and lost 1 length. CAPE REBEL was nervous in the stalls. WESTERN WU was slow into stride. PLANO was slow away and lost 1 length. In the closing stages PLANO was brushed on two occasions by GIMME THE STARS which was hanging out and shifting out from the 200m. A race review was called into this incident by a member of the Stipendiary Board which was followed by an Objection being lodged by Jockey Khathi, the rider of the 2nd placed horse PLANO against the winner GIMME THE STARS on the grounds of interference in the closing stages. After giving regard to the evidence put forward by the connections of both horses and reviewing the patrol films of the race, the Board was of the opinion that but for the interference PLANO would've finished ahead of GIMME THE STARS and therefore upheld the objection and amended the results accordingly. Jockey Maujean reported that ROAD TO INDY was not striding out freely in the running. PLANO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: ROAD TO INDY - lame left fore, treated. KIMBERLEY CLUB (AUS) - not striding out behind (kicked the gates). Scratched: LAWS OF SUCCESSION and MY WORLD - change of surface.
