The start of this race was delayed due to KIFTSGATE breaking open the front gate which had to be attended to by the course manager. LE GRAND ROUGE fly jumped and was slow into the stride. STARFLASH was nervous in the stalls. EASY STREET withdrawn by the Course Veterinary Surgeon. KIFTSGATE was nervous in the stalls. ANGLET was stubborn loading and nervous in the stalls. The start of this race was reviewed with regards to the left side gate of draw 6 which did not open when the start was affected. After reviewing the patrol film and in consultation with the starter, the Board declared KIFTSGATE a non-runner. Jockey Khathi reported that OMEGA ONSLAUGHT was not striding out freely in the running. STARFLASH was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: OMEGA ONSLAUGHT - not striding out left fore. EASY STREET - lame right fore, withdrawn. KIFTSGATE - cast right fore shoe. Scratched: EASY STREET - lame right fore.
