LADYSMITH and CLIFTON BEACH, which were restless in the stalls, were slow losing one length and thereafter were slow into stride. MARGRETHE was slow into stride. In view of the performances from CAPTAIN'S TREASURE, and CLIFTON BEACH the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies on their return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. The saddle on RUNAWAY REBEL slipped back slightly shortly after the start. MARGRETHE and SECRETARIAT'S GIRL brushed slightly shortly before the finish. DURTY NELLY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: CAPTAIN'S TREASURE and CLIFTON BEACH - returned blowing. Scratched: SUN AT MIDNIGHT - abscess on the right fore.
