QUEEN CRUISER was slow into stride. SCHENGEN GAL lost three lengths. Trainer Azzie was advised to re-school this filly prior to her next engagement. At approximately the 1100m, QUEEN CRUISER and LATERAL PASS had to steady when awkwardly placed on the inside of LADYSARAHCAITLIN which clipped the heels of KINDAVAR after rolling in. Apprentice Sakayi in the company of the National Riding Master Mr Moore were shown the patrol film of the race. Apprentice Sakayi was advised to take more care when shifting ground in future and to be more aware of his horse's position in races relevant to other runners. Apprentice Klink reported that he felt something amiss with SCHENGEN GAL in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Simons, rider of DEERUPT (AUS) briefly lost his left side rein at the 300m. DEERUPT (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Even though Jockey Simons had secured the first position, he failed to ride DEERUPT (AUS) out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stewards. Vet: SCHENGEN GAL - examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. JET TO PARIS - speedy cut right hind.
