The start of this race was rescheduled, following the scratching of ELUSIVE THUNDER, to allow the betting public to restructure their bets. Thereafter KING OF CEDARS got its right hind leg stuck on the inside rail of the stalls. This gelding was removed from the stalls, inspected by the Veterinary Surgeon, declared fit to race and reloaded. This caused a delay to the start of this race. KING OF CEDARS got its right hind leg stuck on the inside rail of the stalls. This gelding was removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary, declared fit to race and reloaded. KING OF CEDARS was subsequently slow into stride. In view of the performance from CRASSUS, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Leaving the 600m and at approximately the 400m Jockey Agrella, rider of KING OF CEDARS made adjustments to his left side stirrup iron after his foot had slipped. SINGFONICO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: CRASSUS - not striding out. Scratched: AFRICAN MAGIC - insufficient recovery time. ELUSIVE THUNDER - lame left front. Indefinite suspension for a full veterinary report. KUTAMBA - off feed.
