OH YEAH was stubborn loading, causing a delay to the start of this race. The starting stalls certificate for this colt was withdrawn. GREELEY'S GALAXY and PALACE GREEN were stubborn loading and subsequently slow away, losing 1 length. Trainer Sham and Assistant Trainer Mansour were advised to re-school their respective horses prior to their next engagement. WILL ROGERS reared in the stalls. Trainer Erasmus was advised to re-school this colt prior to its next engagement. In view of the Starter's report with regard to OH YEAH, this colt was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable loading into the starting stalls. Suspension dates: 29 August 2018 to 4 September 2018. OH YEAH may not be presented for repassing during this period. Jockey Khumalo reported that WILD PATH made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. ICE EATER took an awkward stride at approximately the 1000m and the 800m. Jockey Strydom reported that thereafter this gelding did not stride out freely in running and eased ICE EATER out of the race. AWAKENING was hanging in in the concluding stages. PATROL OFFICER, SEA DANCE and PALACE GREEN were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. PALACE GREEN shifted in away from the crop in the concluding stages. WILD PATH raced equipped with a tongue tie. Vet: ICE EATER - examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. BISCAY FLYER - speedy cut left hind. WILD PATH - no respiratory noise detected post-race.
