The start of this race was re-scheduled at the request of the operator. REVELATION and SON OF A LEGEND lost one length. At approximately the 1300m, BRONX BOMBER, PLAY THE NIGHT and KURT'S APPROVAL became unbalanced when bumped in by HIGHWAY EIGHTYFIVE which was carried in by STREET FLYER (AUS) which shifted in. As a consequence of this, HIGHWAY EIGHTFIVE raced wide around the turn and into the straight. Apprentice Matsunyane as the rider of STREET FLYER (AUS), failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to BRONX BOMBER, PLAY THE NIGHT, HIGHWAY EIGHTYFIVE and KURT'S APPROVAL when he shifted in at the 1300m. Apprentice Matsunyane was suspended from riding in races for a period of ten days. Suspension Dates: 14 September 2018 - 23 September 2018. Apprentice Ferraris reported that IMPERIAL GUEST did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. In view of the performance of BRONX BOMBER, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. KURT'S APPROVAL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. PATRIC new ownership should read: Messrs D Fleischman, D Little & J H van Heerden (colours: dayglow orange, white seams, dayglow orange collar and cap) sold with engagements.
