Just prior to commencing the loading process, the front gates of the inside bank of stalls opened for no apparent reason. The gates were checked and the starting stall staff could not determine the reason for this and therefore a decision was made to go to a manual start causing a delay. DREAM A DREAM was fractious and broke through the front gate and dislodged the rider. The field had to be taken out of the stalls. DREAM A DREAM bolted back to the parade ring and was subsequently withdrawn. MAGIC MOUNTAIN jumped awkwardly losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. Subsequent to the starting stall gates being tested the front gates were set for the loading process and shortly before the field were about to be loaded the front gates of the inside bank opened for no apparent reason. The starting staff could not determine the reason for this and thereafter cold not rectify this technical problem and as a result the race was started manually. This caused a delay. A further delay resulted from DREAM A DREAM breaking through the front gate and bolted the course. In view of the report from the Starter concerning DREAM A DREAM, Trainer Mrs Bass-Robinson will be advised that filly's starting stall certificate was withdrawn. HEARSAY raced green. Approaching the first bend AFRICAN DIAMOND and MINONA were carried out by SEKUSHI GIRL which over-raced and shifted out slightly. DUCHESS OF BOURBON was held up for a number of strides on the heels of SEKUSHI GIRL approaching the 200m. Leaving the 200m a tiring SEKUSHI GIRL was carried out and made contact with AFRICAN DIAMOND when SILVANO'S PRIDE rolled out. CELESTIAL STORM was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Scratched: AU REVOIR - elevated temperature. DREAM A DREAM - bolted the course, withdrawn for delaying the start.
