Jockey Penny reported that PICTURE ME was not striding out freely in the running. Shortly before the finish MARCH MUSIC was carried in marginally by REMEMBER THIS which was hanging in from the 200m and Jockey Ndlovu accidentally dropped his crop at approximately the 150m. A member of the Stipendiary Board called for a race review into the closing stages of the race. This was followed by an objection being lodged by the Assistant Trainer Hewitson on behalf of MARCH MUSIC against REMEMBER THIS on the grounds of the interference in the closing stages. The Board, after giving regard to the evidence put forward by the connections and reviewing the patrol film of the incident, was of the opinion that MARCH MUSIC would not have finished ahead of REMEMBER THIS and therefore overruled the objection and allowed the judges' results to stand. The objection deposit was refunded. REMEMBER THIS and MARCH MUSIC were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. MARCH MUSIC raced equipped with a tongue tie. Vet: BID BEFORE SUNSET - abnormal respiratory noise. PICTURE ME - blood in the mouth, not striding out in front.
