COMME-CI-COMME-CA was slow losing one length. When questioned regarding his ride on ZULU DAWN, Jockey Strydom explained to the Board that it was his intention to go to the front with this filly after jumping well. This filly did not travel as well as expected and came under a ride at the 1200m. Midway around the turn, the pace slowed which allowed her to improve the position. Thereafter leaving the 400m, when racing in close proximity and losing position, Jockey Strydom steadied in anticipation off a continued outward movement of KIRKCONNEL LASS. Thereafter ZULU DAWN took an awkward stride at the 200m. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine ZULU DAWN. Assistant Trainer Titise was requested to report back to the board on the condition of ZULU DAWN on return to stables. KIRKCONNEL LASS was hanging out from the 400m. Jockey Simons reported that LA ROQUETTE did not stride out freely in running. BIG BANG THEORY and MAR DEL SUR were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. KIRKCONNEL LASS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. BIG BANG THEORY raced with a tongue tie on. Vet: LA ROQUETTE - not striding out right hind. ZULU DAWN - examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. Scratched: STRATEGIC MOVE - insufficient recovery time.
