The tongue tie on MANTARIO EXPRESS was refitted at the start and OTTAWA proved stubborn loading. These incidents caused a delay to the start of this race. OTTAWA was stubborn loading. COSMIC MIST, SEE YOU TYGER, HOLLYWOOD FLAME and MY SECRET lost 1 length. In the concluding stages Jockey Greyling, the rider of FUYU, briefly dropped his right side rein. In the concluding stages OTTAWA, which had come to the end of its run and was hanging in, had to steady momentarily off the heels of MANTARIO EXPRESS. In view of the performance from OTTAWA, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. SHEZASHININGSTAR and COSMIC MIST selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Matchett failed to send a letter of delegation for his runner/s engaged at today's race meeting and presented the horse SEE YOU TYGER into the parade ring without blinkers when it was carded to race wearing blinkers. CONQUERING BRITAIN raced equipped with alumite shoes in front, unshod behind. Vet: COSMIC MIST - abnormal respiratory noise. OTTAWA - not striding out left front. HOLLYWOOD FLAME - coughing. Scratched: GLITTER PATH - insufficient recovery time.
