The start of the 7th Race was delayed as a result of the farrier having to replace the left fore shoe on FIRE THE ROCKET at the start. DUZI MOON was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. ROY'S REGIS (AUS) was bumped and carried outwards shortly after the start was affected. SENTIDO was hanging in badly between the 400 and 150 metre marks and thereafter was forced to ease and was switched outwards for a clear run approaching the 100-metre mark. Apprentice Ngwane the rider of ROY'S REGIS (AUS) reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. In view of the performance of MASTER THIEF the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Vet: RAY'S REGIS (AUS) and MASTER THIEF - nothing obvious detected.
