I HAVE HOPE broke through the front gate, dislodged the rider and bolted back to the parade ring, was subsequently withdrawn causing a further delay. KNIGHTS TEMPLAR which was reluctant to load was slow losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. VASCOSTREETTRACTOR reared in the starting stalls. KING CARLOS dislodged the rider on the way to the start and cantered to the start, was caught and secured. Jockey Herholdt was attended to by the paramedics and declared unfit to ride. In consultation with the Trainer, the colt was withdrawn by the Stipendiary Stewards, causing a delay. WINGSOVERTHECLOUDS, which raced green with its head up, failed to negotiate the early part of the bend, shifted out which resulted in MIDDLE WOOD having to steady, and BLACKBEARD being carried wide for a number of strides. Approaching the 200m CHILLAX, which was hanging out was carried out slightly by BEETHOVEN and brushed the hindquarters of BLACKBEARD. VASCOSTREETTRACTOR and GALLAGHER were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. The Club's Medical Officer stood down Jockey Herholdt for the remainder of the day on medical grounds. Scratched: SKARBOVIK - urticaria. KING CARLOS - no jockey available, withdrawn by Stipendiary Stewards. I HAVE HOPE - bolted back to the parade ring, was withdrawn.
