The start of this race was rescheduled due to the late scratching of REGAL GRADUATION to allow the betting public to restructure their bets. During the loading process the saddle on CELESTINA caught on the stall gate as it entered the stalls. This resulted in CELESTINA having to be removed from the stalls, re-saddled and reloaded. REGAL GRADUATION kicked the back gates. This filly was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and subsequently scratched. Jockey Habib reported that he felt something amiss with LAST CHIRP in running. SCHIPPERS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: LAST CHIRP - abnormal respiratory noise; not striding out right front. Scratched: REGAL GRADUATION - injured in the stalls.
