TRAFFIC JAM was squeezed out shortly after the start. SHE ROCKS lost 1 length. PALE STAR lost 3 lengths. Trainer Spies was advised to re-school this filly prior to its next engagement. REGAL LADY commenced to over-race in the early stages. Jockey Zackey appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding his tactics on RHYME OR REASON. He explained to the Board that his instructions were to bounce this mare and hold his position, as he was drawn well. He was surprised by her natural gate speed and raced to the front further clear than he intended. Jockey Zackey was of the opinion that RHYME OR REASON would be better suited to racing over shorter distances. COUNTESS TRENTON was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
