THE STARTER REPORTED: a) REGGAE ROCKS (M van Rensburg) was slow into stride. b) IN ABUNDANCE (G Lerena) was stubborn loading. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer G Terzi was advised (JB). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, JONNY RIPON (D Schwarz) clipped the heels of PEARL DANCER (L Hewitson). b) BOLD JAZZ (*J R Syster) shifted in away from the crop from the 300m and thereafter hung in in the concluding stages. c) LIGHT WARRIOR (*C F Dicken) hung in from the 200m. d) At approximately the 200m, JONNY RIPON (D Schwarz) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed between IN ABUNDANCE (G Lerena) which rolled in and NUSSPLY (C Bantam) which rolled out. e) Jockey G Lerena reported IN ABUNDANCE (6.50 lengths) changed stride continually in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) Jockey W Kennedy reported he felt something amiss with MISS VENEZUELA in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. g) BOLD JAZZ (*J R Syster), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee C Jena, acting on behalf of Trainer P F Matchett, was advised (LN). h) NUMBERNINETYNINE (C Zackey), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Spies was advised (LK). i) In view of the Starter's report with regard to IN ABUNDANCE, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading with a companion. Suspension dates: 18.11.20 to the 24.11.20. IN ABUNDANCE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer G Terzi was advised. JOCKEY CHANGES: a) DARK VISION was ridden by Jockey C Maujean (declared 17 November 2020 at 08H18).
