FAIR ANTONIA was restless in the stalls and was slow into stride. BE HAPPY was restless in the stalls. Trainer Roberts was advised to re-school this filly. MEET THE LOGANS lost one length. MADEMOISELLE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. BE HAPPY shifted in near the 800 metre mark resulting in TO WOO being momentarily cramped and faltering. Apprentice Sakayi the rider of BE HAPPY appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear of other runners when shifting ground in races in future. FAIR ANTONIA shifted out slightly approaching the 200 metre mark resulting in MISSIBABA being steadied and thereafter being switched to the inside of FAIR ANTONIA for a clear run. Jockey de Melo the rider of FAIR ANTONIA accidentally dropped his crop near the 50 metre mark. Apprentice Moodley the rider of MEET THE LOGANS reported this filly not striding out freely in the closing stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. In view of the performance of TO WOO the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey Marcus misused his crop by hitting MADEMOISELLE more than three times in consecutive strides in the closing stages. Vet: MEET THE LOGANS - coughing. TO WOO - nothing obvious detected.
