THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KWITE A TRIP (*P Mxoli) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ZIMBABA (L Hewitson) shifted both ways in running from the 1000m to the 800m b) At approximately150m, CAPTAIN MORISCO (C Bantam) and PHINDA MZALA (W Kennedy), which shifted out away from the crop, came together and brushed. Thereafter in the concluding stages, CAPTAIN MORISCO (C Bantam) was brushed outwards by PHINDA MZALA (W Kennedy) which shifted out away from the crop. c) Jockey L Hewitson reported he felt something amiss with ZIMBABA in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer S G Tarry was requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of this filly on return to stables. d) An inquiry will be opened into Apprentice P Mxoli's ride on KWITE A TRIP in the concluding stages. e) THUMBS UP (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J J Van Vuuren was advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) PHINDA MZALA was ridden by Jockey W Kennedy (declared 17 November 2020 at 07H28). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) PHINDA MZALA raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind (declared 11 November 2020 at 13H59). b) KWITE A TRIP raced without a tongue tie (declared 17 November 2020 at 06H29). c) ZIMBABA raced with a compression mask (declared 17 November 2020 at 08H42). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) ZIMBABA examined post race, nothing obvious detected. b) RAPID FIRE coughing post race. c) KWITE A TRIP abnormal respiratory noise. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
