Apprentice Matsunyane, the rider of OLOFBERG, accidentally dropped his crop at the 300m. SOCIAL ORDER was hanging in from the 300m. CARBON ATOM shifted both ways away from the crop from the 200m. SILVER GOD was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. CAMEL WALK raced equipped with a tongue tie. After the running of race 4, a protest was lodged by the jockeys regarding the deterioration of the track conditions following the rain that had fallen. A panel was formed and the track was inspected. With the persistent rain, severe electrical storms and heavy downpour, which had already occurred, a decision was taken to abandon the remainder of today's race meeting. A decision will be taken in due course as to when the feature races will be run.
