GIMMIE A COHIBA was slow losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. BOUNTIFUL STRENGTH, CARLAS MAMBO, IN THE JUNGLE and PURPLE MOUNTAINS were slow into stride. In view of the performance from GIMMIE A COHIBA, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine the gelding on its return to the unsaddling enclosure and submit a report. Jockey Behr, rider of REDIAL reported that this gelding did not stride out freely in running. BOUNTIFUL STRENGTH, which over-raced in the early stages, was reported by Jockey Fayd'Herbe to have choked up in running. ICON KING, which shifted both ways away from the crop between the 300m and the finish, and Apprentice Tarentaal reported that the gelding did not stride out freely in running. MERAKI (AUS) was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: REDIAL - returned not striding out on the left fore. BOUNTIFUL STRENGTH and GIMMIE A COHIBA - examined post race and no significant findings were detected. ICON KING - returned not striding out on the left fore.
