THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GANG LEADER (*X Jacobs) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls losing two lengths. b) AFRIEL (*J Solomons) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls losing three lengths. c) SOLARIZE (*S W Njokwe) and SHORTSTOP (*L J Ferraris) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Apprentice K Matsunyane reported he felt something amiss with SNOW IN SEATTLE in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) Apprentice J Jacobs and Apprentice J Solomons appeared before the Board, accompanied by the National Riding Master, Mr R Moore, were shown the patrol films of the start and were advised to give sufficient rein whilst in the stalls so as to allow their mounts adequate opportunity to jump on terms. c) CROWN GUARDIAN (*J Gates), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B D Botes was advised (DR). d) FOREVER LIGHT (*N Klink), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer F Bronkhorst, acting on behalf of Trainer P F Matchett, was advised (DR). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) GANG LEADER was ridden by Apprentice X Jacobs who claimed a 4kg allowance (declared 18 November 2020 at 15H55).
