CURVED LIGHT was slow into stride. Over the final 300m, KLEVER KATHY and DON'T STOP DANCING were hanging in and shifted in. Passing the 200m, DOUBLE BLACK became cramped for galloping room for a number of strides to the inside of DON'T STOP DANCING and was forced to ease and switch out for a clear run as a result of DON'T STOP DANCING which had shifted inwards slightly. A race review was called by the rider of the 3rd placed DOUBLE BLACK into this incident which was followed by an objection being lodged by Jockey Cheyne, the rider of the 3rd placed DOUBLE BLACK against the 2nd placed DON'T STOP DANCING on the grounds of interference in the closing stages. After reviewing the patrol films of the race and hearing evidence from the connections, the Board upheld the objection and amended the results accordingly. VERTICAL was hanging in from the 200m. Apprentice Mphanya reported that PICTURE ME was not striding out freely in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Apprentice Hewitson reported that he felt something amiss with VEEIPEE CLUB in the running and did not persevere with his ride from the 200m. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. DUBAI QUEEN was hanging out on the turn and Jockey Munger reported that he felt something amiss with this filly in the running. KLEVER KATHY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: VEEIPEE CLUB - abnormal respiratory noise and not striding out behind. BIKINI MODEL - post race distress syndrome. PICTURE ME - not striding out in front. DUBAI QUEEN - not striding out right fore.
