BORN RICH broke through the front gates, galloped the course and was subsequently scratched by the Veterinary Surgeon. This caused a delay to the start of this race. BORN RICH broke through the front gates, dislodging the rider and bolted. The starting stalls certificate for this gelding was withdrawn. IT MUST BE FATE reared in the stalls. RUSSIAN PRINCE was restless in the stalls. FRENCH LEAVE was slow, losing 2 lengths. KNIGHT OWL jumped awkwardly. In view of the Starter's report with regard to BORN RICH, this gelding was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable in the starting stalls. Suspension dates: 9 November 2018 to 15 November 2018. BORN RICH may not be presented for repassing during this period. In view of the performance form FLATTLEY, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Jockey Habib reported that THE LIMIT did not stride out freely in running. At approximately the 200m MING TANG had to steady when awkwardly placed between KNIGHT OWL, which rolled out, and THE LIMIT, which had come to the end of its run and lugged in. PROTEA PARADISE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: FLATTLEY - examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. RUSSIAN PRINCE - abnormal respiratory noise. THE LIMIT - fatigued. Scratched: BORN RICH - bolted. Suitable for reinstatement. TSITSIKAMMA BUSH - abnormal temperature.
