Apprentice Hewitson reported that he felt something amiss with KATIA in the running and did not persevere with his ride from the 300m. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Jockey Yeni reported that ASHDOWN was not striding out freely in the running. THREE TIMES A LADY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: KATIA - abnormal respiratory noise, not striding out in front and coughed post-race. ASHDOWN - not striding out in front.
