ROUGE ALLURE jumped inwards. ELENI jumped outwards. AN AIR OF SUCCESS stumbled leaving the stalls. Jockey Zechner reported that he felt something amiss with AN AIR OF SUCCESS in running. In view of the performance from TWELVE OAKS, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Shortly after the start FLYING FABLE, COMME-CI-COMME-CA and TWELVE OAKS came together and bumped when awkwardly placed between ELENI which jumped out and ROUGE ALLURE which jumped in. VIVIR raced wide around the turn and into the straight. At approximately the 500m the left side stirrup-leather of Jockey W Marwing's saddle became detached, which resulted in him not being able to fully assist GUNS AND ROSES in running. A member of the Stipendiary Board inspected Jockey Marwing's equipment, could not detect any fault and can only deduce that the stirrup leather pin had slipped during the running of the race. ROUGE ALLURE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: MRS O - stirrup iron abrasion left side. AN AIR OF SUCCESS - not striding out right front. TWELVE OAKS - not striding out left front.
